A BRIEF RESUMÈ

Mark Nelson , professional musician with more than twenty six years experience in the performing arts.

MARK NELSON;started playing violin at the age of twelveand within4 years was already a principal with the National String Youth Orchestra of Scotland

A year later ,he won a scholarship to study four years with Jurgen Hess,(co-leader of Royal Philharmonic.Also one of the leaders of the English Chamber Orchestra),at the Royal Scottish Acadamy of Music,and before graduating in his final year was offered a permanent contract with the 'Nederlands Kamerorkest Stichting en Nederlands Begeleiding Orkest',in Amsterdam.

His experience as a violinist includes nine years with the above foundation,chamber works such as the Alban Berg's Lyric Suite,Tchaikovsky's String Serenade,the usual symphonic repertoire;much contemporary work:some involving solo work in the Boekmanzaal,Amsterdam;receitals in the city hall and other Amsterdam venues,including works by Wieniawski,Ysaye and Brahms.He has recently begun a small selective string school,doing freelance playing when time permits.
